Am I sure that the doctors, staff and the receiving institution speaks my first language or a language I am competent in?

It is an essential comfort and security factor to under-
stand your regular doctor and the staff working in the
surgery. Make sure that the communication is at a satis-
factory level.
Doctors usually speak English. In Hungary English and
German are commonly spoken. French, Italian, Norwe-
gian, Russian is also available, but are not as common.
A well established clinic can even provide a translator.

Gather information about materials used in the course of the treatment!

Never allow anyone to insert anything into your

use.

Have I gathered information concerning the technique and equipment used in thechosen surgery, and have I made sure that I receive all the services at the sameplace within a short time?

It is not enough to be aware of the services provided by the chosen surgery. It is essential to have information about the location and timeframe of services.
We should be warned if there is no panoramic X-ray. If there is CT and dental laboratory, it suggests that the provided services are of high quality.
Do not hesitate to ask questions via email or by phone. Important information is revealed by the length of time between query and reply. If there is no response
within one day, it can suggest communication problems in the foreign language, there is a likelihood that there are or-
ganisational problems, or lack of expertise and in-
adequate customer service.
