Have I checked the qualifications of the clinic and the doctors?

Most European Union Member States provide good education in the field of medicine and dentistry. It is well worth double-checking whether the dentists working at the chosen company are professionally qualified, complying with European Union standards and possessing suitable experience and background. The classification of the clinic can also serve as a guideline. A high standard surgery has obtained international qualifications and quality standards.
The invoices provided by EU conform clinics are acknowledged by insurance companies.
Another essential aspect to bear in mind is whether embassies have supervised
the surgery and its services and how they have evaluated the above.
Finally, EU licence and professional EU qualifications are also decisive
factors to consider.

Is it sure that I get the highest quality treatment, in shortest time, at the best price in my home country?

The answer is: NO. Parallel to the improvement of quality
health care the prices and waiting lists also grew longer. At
the same time the demand for cross-border health care
started to increase. Medical services abroad can also be of
high quality, at an affordable price, without waiting lists.
Hungary was one of the first countries that began to ser-
vice foreign patients who wanted quality health care at a
reasonable price without the need to wait. Hungary is cur-
rently a major dental tourism destination in the world.
People from all over Europe come to Hungary from the UK,
France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and Germany, Norway.
The majority of Hungarian ,clinics provide world-class
service, use high quality materials, and can provide ,their services in a short time.

                  Medical Tourism. What is it?

Medical Tourism is a term involving people who travel to a different place to receive treatment for a disease, ailment, or condition, and who are seeking lower cost of care, higher quality of care, better access to care, or different care than they could receive at home.
(definition by Global Spa Summit LLC 2011)

How does medical tourism work? Is it a scam or real? How is it possible? I would like to answer these and similar questions in this blog, and I will share lots of practical ideas.
